ABUL FAZL (SARAHS BABA)

Popularly known as Sarahs Baba, this magnificent building is the tomb of Abul Fazl Hasan, who died in 1023 by Sarahs craftsmen in Sarahs district of Ahal province. The dome of Sarahs Baba (Abul Fazl) is a monumental composition, the main part of which is paralleled. The sides of the deck are 23 x 23 cm thick and are made of incubated bricks, 4 to 4.5 cm thick. The walls of this rectangular building measure 15.40 meters on the outside and 10.2 meters on the inside. The walls are up to 2.5 meters thick. Abul Fazl Sarahsi is a person who has earned the respect of the people for his intelligence, simplicity, humanity and high dignity. A photograph of the dome of Abul Fazl (Sarahs Baba) was first published in 1894 by Professor V.A. Zukovsky. It is located 1.5 km southeast of present-day Sarahs. The building entered science in 1947 after the work of A.M. Pribytkova, who carried out its measurements and restoration.
