Our country has a unique and very rich nature. Our mountains with soaring cliffs and valleys, our endless sandy deserts, our rippling seas and rivers, and our mountain springs with honey water give the nature of our land a unique beauty.
The Turkmen people have preserved our beautiful nature for centuries and have incorporated the wonders of nature into their culture and traditions. Therefore, the special respect and reverence for nature among the Turkmen people has been preserved throughout the centuries and has become ingrained in the minds of our generations.
One of such beautiful natural places in our country is the village of Nohur in the Baherden district of Ahal province. The village has a very beautiful nature, fresh water springs, and fresh air that heals the soul. The villagers cherish this beautiful nature inherited from their ancestors like the apple of their eye. Every year, hundreds of guests come to see the “Govakly plane” that provides shade to the “Peydalan Baba” spring in the village, to pay a visit to the “Gyzbibi” shrine, to observe the ancient Kopetdag Manaman range, and to buy medicinal foods such as goat milk, cheese, molasses, and honey.
