Parzdepe or Parz-Depe is an ancient city-style fortress in Turkmenistan, about 12 miles (12 km) west of the walls of the new city of Nusay. The fortress is made up of a city and a county. It is a rectangular structure that measures 45 to 50 m.
Archaeological evidence suggests that Parzdepe was first used for life during the Bronze Age. It grew during the Achaemenid and Persian periods, and served as an important center for trade and economy in the region. Its strategically convenient location close to major trade routes has made an important contribution to its development and cross-cultural exchange.
The center, located on the hillside of the hill, served as the administrative and security center of the city of Parzdepe.
